I use the basic and the pro version, the updates 6.0.3.1 for the basic version and 6.0.2 for the pro version were offered.
After updating the basic version, the layout of my site is broken (wrong page width, footer is missing, etc.)
After resetting the version and importing the saved database, the page is displayed correctly again.

    How to avoid the error?

    My data:
    WordPress: 6.1 de
    Theme: Vantage
    PageBuilder: SiteOrigin

    Hi @ralf58

Thanks for reaching out, I’ll be happy to help!

I apologize for the inconvenience that you’ve run into here.

I suggest running the tests on a staging version of your live site, so it will not adversely affect your live site. Here’s our resource on how to create a staging site https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/creating-and-using-a-wordpress-staging-site/

Once you’re there, you could try the following:
    1. Can you temporarily switch to the twenty Twenty theme and see if that resolves the issue, please?
    2. Can you try switching the template that is utilized in your Events > settings >display > template.

    Hello Chika,

the error does affect my live website, but this is currently not visible because I reversed the update of the event calendar.
Even with a second installation of the update, the error appeared both in the dashboard and on the live website and the live website was not usable.
For the time being I will not install updates, the preparations for the staging version are underway, I will get back to you then.

Hi @ralf58, I see, although we are compatible with different themes, there are a couple that needs customization on the user’s end.

I’m curious, could you interchange the settings under Display → Default stylesheet used for events templates and Events template? Head over to Events → Settings → Display and try different settings for the page template.

See if that makes a difference and make sure that any template is not causing the issue.

    Please do keep us posted.

    Best,
    Abz

    Hi,
I currently use “Tribe Event Style” to display the events. Preparations for a test environment are currently underway. As soon as a test environment is possible, I will make changes for the events calendar and will only then apply the updates for Events Calendar and Pro, because I don’t want to experience the chaos described above again.
