It’s never a good idea when plugins want to prove themselves with a completely new and individual design in the backend of WordPress. It is the backend, the control center of WordPress, the technical room so to speak, not the showroom! An admin wants to find his way around quickly – all forms and all processes should follow the same patterns in all plugins.
And this backend design is not fully developed, the processes are sometimes unclear, existing jobs are hidden too many clicks away, the font is sometimes too small – and I have to load a special font, which makes it slower.
    please reconsider your approach.

    Hi @snoffel ,

We really appreciate your thoughtful feedback. We understand that consistency with the WordPress backend is crucial for usability, and we hear your concerns about navigation, readability, and performance.

Right now, our main focus is on removing the two-job limitation and bringing back the ability to edit old jobs, along with improvements to custom scheduling and backup file formats. While we are prioritizing these functional improvements, we are also actively gathering feedback with the intention to refine the UI in future updates, including reviewing font usage and overall accessibility.

In the meantime, if you prefer, you can roll back to version 4.1.7 here.

Thanks for taking the time to share your insights—we truly appreciate it!

    The BackWPup Team
