• I may found some bug, on at least two of my computers.

    After updating to WordPress 5.8, I have an issue with the Gutenberg editor.
    Copy text from any block type to another block type [OK, No problem].
    Copy text from any other block type to “list” block type [NO TEXT SHOWS UP].

    __________
    I can copy and paste plain text to list,
    (e.g. from browser’s address bar, or notepad, to Gutenberg’s “list” block)

    in the browser console:

    Received HTML:
     <empty string>

    Received plain text:
     text I want to copy

    Processed inline HTML:
     text I want to copy

    __________
    However, I can’t paste some text from any other block type to a “list” block.
    in the browser console:

    Received HTML:
     <html><body>
    <!--StartFragment-->text I want to copy <!--EndFragment-->
    </body>
    </html>

    Received plain text:
     text I want to copy

    While the console shows the same thing as when I paste text to another block type,
    the text didn’t show up in the “list” block.

    __________
    Meanwhile, I can copy text from any block type to other block types,
    or from a “list” block to another “list” block,
    except for text from any other block type to list block.

    __________
    Browser I use: Mozilla and Chrome
