Version 4.5.3 – Fatal error: Pluggable.php on line 70

    Multiple websites upgraded to WordPress version 4.5.3

    All were successful except for one

    Trying to login to the admin area – OR – using menu buttons on landing page – results in this error message on new screen:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function _wp_get_current_user() in /home/cyberqui/public_html/apregnancymiraclebook.com/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 70

  • I hope its comes from W3 Total Cache Error

    Can you please try after remove that plugin

    Removal of the W3 Total Cache plugin did not solve this issue.

    – Try MANUALLY updating. Download a fresh copy of the WordPress .zip file to your computer, unzip it, and use that to copy up all files and folders EXCEPT the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory. You may need to delete the old wp-admin and wp-includes folders and files on your server before uploading the new ones. Please read the Manual Update directions first.
    – Backup: If you haven’t already done, always backup everything (including your database) before doing any actions, just in case something really goes wrong.

    So – basically – I am completing the 4.5.3 upgrade – by replacing the files that are not currently working – with the copy that I manually download – and open – and then replace the files – right?

    You can try that.

    If the issue still persists, then try replacing all files and folders EXCEPT the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory.
