• Hi,

I updated my website to WordPress 4.6 and whenever I try to update theMembership 2 plugin I get an error msg that reads is good till the WordPress 4.5.2 version. Is there an update coming up soon compatible with the latest WordPress version or not? I can’t get membership payment processed correctly due to this.
    Any feedback?

    Thanks

    Hello rjpp,

I am running the Membership 2 plugin on my site with WordPress version 4.6 and it is working well. The plugin is fully compatible with the latest WordPress version.

Of course the future updates of the plugin are on its way. Although, we do not publish ETA, to prevent disappointment if the deadline is missed.

Let me know if you have any further questions!

    Cheers,
    Nastia

    Hi Nastia,

    Thanks for the heads up.
Here’s were I’m having problems. This screenshot explains that Membership’s 2 compatibility with WordPress 4.6: UNKNOWN. Check it out: https://snag.gy/vkWfCn.jpg

When I go ahead and update, this is the msg I get:
https://snag.gy/tBgdq2.jpg. Then and it gets stuck and never updates.

After checking your WordPress plugin dowload page and checking its features, it clearly states that it’s compatible up to: 4.5.3, not the 4.6. version https://snag.gy/wt0QNK.jpg

This might be the obvious problem, wouldn’t it?
What’s the best possible solution for this? I’m kinda missing opportunities here.

Looking forward to hearing from you ASAP.

I am having the same problems. The latest version crashes my site. It disables ALL my plugins too!

    Hello,

I just tested Membership 2 on freshly updated WordPress 4.6 and I cannot replicated that problem. There was no problem with M2 installation.

After checking your WordPress plugin dowload page and checking its features, it clearly states that it’s compatible up to: 4.5.3, not the 4.6. version https://snag.gy/wt0QNK.jpg

That information is hardcoded in plugin readme.txt file and last release was done with previous version of the WP, so that why it doesn’t show 4.6 there. Information will be updated with next release but we do test our plugins with new WP versions and M2 works with WP 4.6.

When I go ahead and update, this is the msg I get:
https://snag.gy/tBgdq2.jpg. Then and it gets stuck and never updates.

Can you update plugin manually through FTP? This one shows that there is problem with updating process and reasons for that can be different – from plugin conflict to problems with memory. From what previous version are you updating M2?

Matt, it would be better if you create your own thread about that issue and if you can, please post bigger images – I cannot see anything here https://s12.postimg.io/9nt8ld2gp/screenshot_Thu_Aug_25_22_41_14.png

    kind regards,

I will try and install M2 again.

Doesn’t have to do anything with memory, I just updated another plugin perfectly fine and it’s message read: “100% compatible with WordPress 4.6 (according to author)”

I have the 4.0.0.7 installed. Will I lose some features through FTP? Settings and stuff?

Can you just double check compatibility?

    Hi rjpp,

All settings and data from M2 are stored in your database so after you update via FTP all your settings will still be there.

My personal suggestion is to have backup ready just to stay on safe side in case anything unwanted happens.

    Cheers,
    Predrag
