version 4.0 brought a huge number of files?

    After the update to 4.0 I got a warning form my backup/security system, that there is an excessive number of files to be backed up.

    So I did a little digging and the DreamObjects Backups plugin in 4.0 gives over 1600 files to backup just from this plugin.

    The thing is that cron every 2 minutes checks for file changes – this is nice if someone would like to upload something malicious to my site, but checking so many files is a huge overhead – is this supposed to be like this – I mean all those files are needed to do the backup?

    I think that previously there were not so many files or am I wrong?

    The limit for smooth cron check is set to 2000 so I’ll have a look – maybe some other plugins grew bigger.

    There was a glitch in the security system – I have checked on other websites with the same security system and they were ok. Resetting the whole system brought it back to normal.

    I’m sorry for unnecessary posting. I should have checked it more thoroughly before posting.
