    Steps to recreate:
    1) Create new membership level
    2) Edit Page in standard WP editor
    3) Notice popup for Add-in
    4) Click on new membership level
    5) Click Save

Expected result: Page saves with new level added
Observed Result: Page does not save, preventing new membership level being added

Action Save does word prior to update of version 4.5.6

Can you please deactivate and re-activate the Simple Membership plugin (to make sure any outstanding database upgrades are taken care of)? Then try the test again to see if any improvement.

Sidenote: It is safe to temporarily deactivate the plugin and reactivate it. You won’t lose any data in the process.

One other question, do you see any error in the server’s error_log file when it fails to save?

Deactivated then reactivated. I noticed that before the deactivate/activate that the block showing the add-on blurb no longer displays but on save, before and after deactivate this message is visible at the top of the page:

Updating failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.

    Which theme are you using?

Can you share a screenshot showing the protection settings section of the page just before you hit the save/publish button?

This happens only for a new membership level that you have created. If you select one of the levels created earlier, you don’t see this issue right?
