    Hi there,

I like the fact when a plugin gets some pro-features which should be paid. But not if there were features for free that become paid-features, like seeing what sizes are not generated properly.

Maybe you should consider a one time (much higher) license than charging every year $5. For me and my clients (>40 WordPress sites running) it is too much hassle to invoice these extra costs, so we won’t pay the license.

As an agency I would prefer a $200 dollar bill for unlimited time and installs like Advanced Custom Fields Pro does.

    just my 2 cent

    Kind regards
    Alex

    Hello Alex,

We still can, it is the same. Before it was spanned on many columns and it was a big mess for many users. I just replaced them by little squares which are ordered in the same way as the media sizes. I could add an information on hover.

As an agency I would prefer a $200 dollar bill for unlimited time and installs like Advanced Custom Fields Pro does.

The reason it is yearly is that I am just one developers behind this, there is no team, nobody else to help me. If one day I have a problem, whatever it is (sickness, too many kids, who knows) I will hand all my applications over to somebody else I trust. That will come also with the subscriptions. I want to make sure I can motivate somebody else easily this way since I am not sure the flux of new users will do that.

That said, for an agency, we can talk and I can set-up what you asked for.

Thanks for your input! I know many users will have exactly the same reaction as you and it would be nice to have them joining this discussion as well ??

    Hi Jordy,

thanks for that speedy reply. I do understand your concerns regarding the licensing. But for an agency it is too much administration for just one plugin. Please consider an additional licensing option for bigger volumes. I think the five dollar bill per year is fine for single users. The costs are low and if they do not use the plugin anymore there is not much damage.

The tiny squares somehow hide too much information. I don’t think that a tooltip does solve the problem. The old table style was too large, but I am sure there are a lot of clever and smaller options to consider.

    Keep up the good work!

    Kind regards

I decided on the little squares display for two main reasons:

The first was that in many cases the previous columns were taking too much space. This is the most obvious one of course but I think the second one is more important.

The second one is that, depending on the website and its webmaster, various images are used with different sizes and sometimes odd media sizes. The colourful squares all together give an instant snapshot of the situation. For example, a “green+green+red” combination might actually be considered fine by the webmaster but not a “green+red+red”.

You are very right about the option for a bigger volume license. I need to add this in my workflow. Next challenge ?? Thanks a lot Alex!
