Version 2.3 “No input file specified.”

  • I am attempting to install a clean copy of WordPress Version 2.3 (current), and am recieving the current error after entering a blog name, e-mail address and clicking install: “No input file specified.” Anyone recieve the same error, if so resolution?

  • The issue could be caused if you have set Permalinks for your application and you do not have the correct RewriteRules added to your .htaccess file. You may check the following URL for more information how to complete the setup of your Permalinks:

    Once the correct .htaccess rules are added the issue should be resolved.

    The issue isn’t permalinks since they haven’t even been setup yet. Most likely caused by a php error. Have a look at your server logs and see if any php errors are present.
