Please assist with resolution to the issue of the popup which comes up with the message when trying to import an exported WP website/blog:

“Version 2.1.1 of All in One WP Migration introduces new compression algorithm. It makes exporting and importing 10 times faster.
Unfortunately, the new format is not back compatible with backups made with earlier versions of the plugin.
You can either create a new backup with the latest version of the plugin, or convert the archive to the new format using our tools here.”

    Hi Bernard,

It seems like you are trying to import .zip backup with our current version of the plugin.
Is the backup you are trying to import created by our plugin?

    Best,

Im having the same problem. It is your export file that is a .wpress.crdownload that will not import. i get the same message and when i click on your tools it goes to an error page

I have the same issue. I haven’t manually zipped the .wpress file either. I am running version 3.3 on both the export and import side. Export was created using a local install (XAMPP) of WordPress.

The link to the tool to convert it in the archive of your site also is broken.

I am having the same exact issue. Any indication that this is getting attention? Thanks.

    Hi strongtyer and jwarde,

This issue occurs when the version of the plugin you are using on both export and import sites are not the same.
For example, if you export the site using version 2.0.5 that creates .zip and you import it using the current version that only supports .wpress, you are likely getting the issue mentioned. The solution is either to both export and import using version 2.0.5 or the current version available.
