• Hi,

I’m using Display Widgets plugin for some time now, and today I noticed that all setting options on widget display have disappeared and non of my conditions are showing.
On one of my clients’ site, setting options are showing, but causing the entire sidebar to disappear. Only when I disable it, sidebar shows again.

Looks like it needs some bug fix.

If anyone has an idea on how to solve these issues, please let me know

    cheers

  • Just upgraded to 2.03 – totally does not work at all. Checked settings of all my widgets and re-saved. None of the DW settings are taking effect.

Thought it might be related to caching but deleted the cache from WP Super Cache and turned WP Super Cache off and no joy.

Going to downgrade to 1.2X version. Luckily I have a full backup of my site.

Update: downgraded to 1.24 and everything works. If it ain’t broke…

I’d be happy to give you admin access…how should I do that?

If you’d like to go back to 2.03, you can send access info to steph at strategy11.com. I haven’t yet seen it not working, so I can’t fix anything.

I have the same problem, the widgets are displaying on the live site correctly but in Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets there are no options appearing under the individual widgets.
    I tried 2.03 but it didn’t work so I’ve reverted to 1.24.

Because we collect user data through the site we can’t legally allow anyone outside the company site access (data protection regulations) but I can send you screenshots and code if it helps.

    The website is https://www.glutenfreeireland.com

    Thanks.

If you don’t see any options, you have a javascript error on your page. Please go through and deactivate your theme and plugins one by one until you find the one causing the error.

@ sswells – changing ‘wp_head’ to ‘plugins_loaded’ worked and now i can see the widgets on the pages i specified! strange that something totally different worked for Carrie Dills than for me, no? thank you for the solution:)

    running 3.8.1 with 2014 theme.

    thank you,
    eva

@ sswells – changing ‘wp_head’ to “plugins_loaded’ on line 37 worked for me. strange that the other possible solution worked for Carrie Dills, no? thank you for the solution:)

Another thing to check if you aren’t seeing the options at all in your widgets screen is to click on the Screen Options tab and make sure you have Accessibility Mode DISABLED.

Sharing this because I, in total idiot mode, have just discovered this was my problem and NOT the code/theme/plugins/js that I have spent two weeks wading through! Doh!

Thanks to @sswells and Strategy11 for the great, free plugin.

I still have the same problem, so I’m back to running V1.24.
Changing the code on line 37 hasn’t helped unfortunately.

Gold star for sparklyscotty! Accessibility mode was my problem too. Thank you!
