Version 2.0 Not Loading

  • When I downloaded the current version of Page Builder, all went well. At least until I attempted to edit it. After clicking on the Home Page link in the WP UI, it went to the page, however, it would not load the content. Just sit there showing me the circular loading icon. I uninstalled Version 2.0 and installed Version 1.5.4 and everything is working perfect.

    Sorry to hear about the hassle. If you’re up for it, we’d be super keen to find out what went wrong here. If possible please re-upgrade to 2.0, head back to the home page as before and check for any Javascript errors. This is a two click process using your browsers developer tool. The following tutorial details how to access that:

    If there are any errors present there it should let us know what’s up.

    If there are no errors present you could try temporarily de-activating all plugins not made by SiteOrigin and re-testing.

    If there is no change with the above test you could try switching over to a default theme like Twenty Fourteen and re-testing, also with all plugins de-activated except Page Builder.

    Somewhat related, I’ve also noticed on some sites you might need to clear the browser’s cache, otherwise the Page Builder UI gets rendered only in text.

    I′ve the same Problem here… I just see the turning Icon when i want to edit a row.
    Error Message is:
    Failed to load resource: the server respond https:// ….. /admin-ajax.php
    with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error)

    @dogeis – do you by any chance have access to your PHP error logs? This would help us figure out what’s causing the 500 error for this request.

    @greg I could try to find out – but i don′t have access to the server at the moment.
    I`ve installed the Vantage theme and PB on an other server that worked well and no problems with the admin_ajax.php …
    Maybe it′s a servercongiguration Problem?

    It’s very possible that was a server configuration issue. I’ve modified the ajax call to try make it slightly more robust. We’ll be pushing an update later today.

    Hi webgeekswebdesign – We’ve managed to fix that issue in our development version. We’ll be pushing a new update tomorrow with the fix. It comes up in some server configurations that we weren’t able to test on.
