footnotes have been automatically updated and the website stopped; I had to enter the emergency mode and switch the plugin off. Removing and reinstalling does not help. When switching the plugin on, I get a warning:

`Warning: scandir(/home/staho/domains/ocena-ryzyka.pl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/footnotes/class/layout/): failed to open dir: No such file or directory in /home/staho/domains/ocena-ryzyka.pl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/footnotes/includes.php on line 23

    WordPress 5.6.2
    PHP: 7.4.15
    footnotes plugin: 2.5.9.d1 of 2021-03-01
other plugins active: NONE (all the plugins were switched off for testing)

    Previous version (2.5.8) worked fine.
