Version 2.2.1 redirects my new post URLs

  • I upgraded yesterday to version 2.2.1. (I do have a premium version, by the way). I have realized that whenever I do a new post on my WP, “WordPress SEO by Yoast” creates a new URL different which is different from my original URL, and then, redirects to this new URL. For example:

    1. A URL like
    /the-new-balance-sneakers-that-i-already-own-are-quite-colorful/ is redirected by WSBY to /49647-revision-v1/ and

    2. A URL like
    /ive-pretty-much-living-jeans-sharonmundia/ is redirected by WSBY to /50178-revision-v1/

    And the above 2 given examples wouldn’t have been the case with the version 2.2 (and earlier). I am experiencing this strange, auto-redirect behaviour only with latest version 2.2.1 (which was released on June 11th, 2015).

    Can someone tell what is happening?
