Hi there, we usually display 5 posts in our slider at a time, but past published posts are now showing up first, and content continues to be out of order.

I read that this is a problem with a higher version, however, my current version will not upgrade past 1.5…i’m wondering if there is a work around for this. Both 1)upgrading past 1.5 as well as correcting the slider on current or higher version.

    Thanks!

Just to clarify, are you using v1.5 or v1.4? 1.5 has the proper Flexslider script to put posts in the proper order (reverse chronological), but v1.4 has a bug that puts the slides in the wrong order.

The issue lies with the Flexslider script, which should be at v2.2.2, not at v2.2

    Thanks,
    David

Hi David, I am using the 1.5 version and my posts are not in order (usually just the first post is out of order), the rest of the posts are in proper order.

Also, where do you see the v2.2.2 on the Flexslider script?

    Thanks!

I’m afraid both of you are right. The copy of FlexSlider included in the plugin was submitted to GitHub on 12/20/2013, and was integrated into the plugin on 01/11/2014.

However, the bug annej2014 is talking about was fixed last month (on 04/08), but the revision number was never increased, so it’s still 2.2.2.

I have replaced the widget’s copy with this last one and the slider works fine. Annej2014, until David fixes this and releases the update, you can manually replace the jquery.flexslider-min.js file as a workaround.

Thanks for the clarification quimbs. I’ll note in the update that this is the main change.
