I updated to CPT UI v1.0.5 this morning on a development site with no existing custom post types, and after making a NEW custom post type I experienced an error (not clear if it’s also an issue for existing custom post types).

Here is the issue: New post type was created just fine, and I could add and manage those post types no problem, BUT when viewing those posts on the front end, the admin bar edit button said “edit media”, as opposed to “edit post”. From what I can tell, WP thinks the custom post type is a media type, and defaults to using image.php instead of single.php (or single-custompostslug.php). I rolled back, and it’s fine again, but this is definitely a strange issue where the post type is getting mis-identified by WP on the front end.

    Thanks!
