Version 1.8+ breaks all VC images on all pages

Hi there!

If I try and upgrade the plugin to version 1.8 or 1.8.1, all of my VC images in my content areas on all pages disappear. I’ve rolled back to 1.7 and everything functions again. The images also all show up again if I just deactivate the plugin. I’m using the theme BeTheme. I have WP Bakery Page Builder (Visual Composer) version 5.4.5. Any thoughts on why this could be happening or if there might be a fix for this in the works? Let me know if you need any additional info from me.
