• I updated to v1.5 yesterday which caused a fatal error on this website.

So I disabled the plugin and tried to roll back to v1.3 – but this seems to be unavailable !

I see that others have reported the same issue

Can anyone offer advice on how best to resolve this situation ?

  • Luckily I have found a copy of 1.3, which I have put onto GitHub at garymarkfuller/-WC-Custom-Add-to-Cart-Labels-Backup: A backup of version 1.3 of the plugin as version 1.5 currently causes WordPress sites to experience a critical error. I would recommend overwriting the existing plugin files with these and altering any reference to version 1.3 in them to version 1.5. You should then find the plugin will work again and should also be able to easily upgrade to the next version from the plugin author which I hope will fix the problem.

    Dear Garry,

You are an ABSOLUTE STAR ! ??????????

    Can’t Thank You Enough !!

I didn’t follow you instructions to the letter: I simply downloaded a zip file from GitHub uploaded this to the website and then extracted, and moved, the contents to the plugins directory of the website and then renamed the -WC-Custom-Add-to-Cart-Labels-Backup-main directory to wc-custom-add-to-cart-labels and activated the plugin. It even ‘remembered’ the settings so no need to reconfigure – everything was as it was before disaster struck yesterday.

    Brilliant!

I’m left scratching my head about the author ! ??

Anyone can make a mistake when it comes to writing code. But removing old versions of a plugin from www.remarpro.com ?

Don’t understand why a Moderator would Archive all the “I have this problem too” (sic) posts that were added to your original error report either ?????

Anyway – Feel Free To Wear a Cape ANY+TIME !!

    Thanks Again

    Mike

1.5 has only 1 file in it.

Modify your 1.3 version to be 1.5.0.1 or something like that to allow 1.6 to work – assuming it’s fixed!
