You didnt see a warning that comes out if your site is using api v1, saying that it would cause errors then? It appears during post sync setup and also in post sync section in options page.

In any case, the above tutorial will help you upgrade to v2 to fix the error and start using post sync.

You didnt see warning upgrading from 1.5.6 to 1.5.7? Thats odd.

Correct, I did not see a warning.

The solution provided was helpful and is working. Thank you. I would make one suggestion in the steps – save the secret key! You need it to delete the existing app before adding the next one. I saved them out of caution and was glad I did. Otherwise there would have been a lot of back and forth extra steps.

You should need the secret key only to delete the app at Patreon. And the secret key should be available in app details at Patreon when you view it. But yes, you can copy it from your site’s record and paste at Patreon when the prompt asks you too.

However there are cases in which the app details at your site being different than the one at the one at Patreon app listing. In that case, you would need to view the app details at Patreon and copy the secret key from there.

Glad to hear you got it to work.
