Version 1.2.1 turns local links into embeds

This was a link internal to the site.

This seems to be a duplicate of the masking ticket.

It’s not a duplicate. On my test site I see differnt results. Sigh.

Thanks for the report, I will take a look into it.

While I was able to see the problem with adding an overlay here, which shouldn’t be added (see https://github.com/epiphyt/embed-privacy/issues/24), the fact that the link is getting an embed is a default function of WordPress if you only enter the URL without marking it as link or similar yourself.

Ok, I didn’t expect that behaviour for local links. I’ll make a point of alerting the editors. It may have been an isolated case with an editor who is less experienced. Well, for that matter, I didn’t expect that behaviour either ??

Ok. the lipstick on the corpse does the trick for me. It works in my development env.

I was a bit confused that external links (bare url) from the primary site (https://netzpolitik.org/url) did not generate an embed. https://dev.netzpolitik.org/url did.

Odd. The fix works in any case. I’ve the same handle on github so I can switch ??
