Verion 1.8+ breaks Odometer Counter

  • I purchased a theme from TM that comes with Visual Composer 5.2.1 and version 1.6 of the Addons for Visual Composer. It has quite a big home page, also including Livemesh Odometers. AFter updating to 1.8.2, the odometers don’t count up anymore.

    I noticed though that the odometers still work when I put them on an empyt page. So there is seomting else involved. Maybe version 1.8.2 is not compatible with Visual composer 5.2.1. Is that so? In that case it should be clearly stated so.

    Thanks for bringing this to our attention. It is possible that odometers and piecharts can breaks depending on features of VC that are enabled in a page(piecharts, linecharts, progress bars, grid etc.). Even the grid can break in certain situations. This is due to old waypoints and old isotope scripts being used by VC/WPBakery Page Builder. The version of waypoints that WPBakery is using is 2.0.2 while the latest version is 4.0.x and isotope again needs to be updated to 3.x from very old 2.0.0 version that they are sticking to. I suggest you open a ticket with WPBakery support to get this addressed since it has the potential to break quite a few plugins and themes that have migrated to new versions.

    Since I am getting other reports of sites breaking due to this change, I have decided to revert back to old version of waypoints for now. Will post an update in few minutes.

    Update is out with old version of waypoints script. Pls update and let me know if things are back to normal. Thanks

    It’s still not working for me. The counter is not counting the numbers. Instead, it’s showing the starting number.
