Verifying Installtion Instructions for SSH SFTP Updater

I am so grateful for this plugin, thank you for developing it. It is exactly what I need for the situation I am in.
I need verify the instructions. The instructions basically explain installing the plugin and activating it, same as for any plug in. I followed those instructions and the plugin is shown as active in my control panel. Yay! Go team!
The problem appears when I try using the SSH2 for adding a plugin. As soon as I hit the radio-button for SSH2, a few big fields appear, asking for SSH public and private keys. I am thinking there is no way that could be right, because if was normal behavior, there would be an explanation in the directions for how to do that pretty complicated step.
Can this be confirmed?
