    Hi @omc123!

You are correct, none of those require an App Review by default, so I believe the problem is that:
    1. You have set something in the App that you shouldn’t have, so for now I suggest making a new App by following the steps:
    https://nextendweb.com/nextend-social-login-docs/provider-facebook/#configuration
as our Video for that is fairly outdated, so in case you followed that, that could result in such unexpected results.
    2. You have a plugin or theme code that adds extra parameters to the URL (possibly to only social login related URLs) and requests permissions which are not needed. As you see in this documentation (it is for our other plugin, but the idea is the same):
    https://smartslider.helpscoutdocs.com/article/2006-how-to-use-health-check-troubleshooting-plugin
With the Health check & troubleshooting plugin, while only Nextend Social Login is enabled, check if you can see this problem or not. If you can, then the problem is in the App.

    1. I don’t see any issue with your plugin
    2. I deleted an app, create a new one and update the app secret and app id. This time I skip this step (request email address from the users), but again after hit verify setting, I receive this error
    Sorry, something went wrong.
We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can.

I use an under construction plugin as my site is now under construction. Is this a case? And the Facebook app in development mod.

    Hi @omc123!
    ?
Facebook seems to have changed some things. The first one is, that you do need to go through step 7., so this isn’t optional anymore. The second is, that to finish this step, I see this being written out by Facebook:
?”Business verification and approval through App Review are required for this permission before this app can go live.”
    ?
?So it does seems like from now on Facebook requires?App Review for these permissions too. Our developer is currently on vacation, but I will let him know, to modify our step-by-step instructions. What I suggest for you is, to go through the App Review. Then once Facebook will approve you application, you shouldn’t receive an error anymore.

It seems to be complicated for me to use facebook login app. To submit an app review, It’s required that I have to go through (1) Verification and (2) Data handling questions. For the Verification, a document like business license is required. So, how can a person who just create a website for community use this login app.

I think I will skip facebook login. I have completed verify settings for Google login, there’s no issue. I will go with it.

In fact, I experience this facebook issue at the first time I use your plugin, about 4 months and 3 weeks ago. But at that time I didn’t strongly need it, so I didn’t report.

For business verification as a person, Facebook requires you to send your ID card to them, to verify yourself. Sadly Facebook does makes things very complicated, to try to make themselves as secure as possible, and these things cannot be worked around by developers.

Comparing to the past. I used to use facebook login easily.

About that you say business verification as a person and can upload only id card, would you mind giving more detail. Now I’m at the verification process screen, I see this….it’s required business papers. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1oxL0TWcdf1tOAHIb2w5A2AfQbqslJ1Yo/view?usp=sharing

Sorry, it seems like this has changed too. Back in the days, when I went through this process, as you see here, Facebook offered an option to give “Identity documents”. Now that doesn’t seems to be the case anymore. I found this post regarding the issue, that from July 1, this kind of “individual verification” won’t be accepted anymore, but only business verification will be accepted. I tried to find a forum, where this was discussed, and only found this, where people seem to came to the same conclusion what I’m seeing too, that Facebook no longer allows individuals to create Facebook login. Only businesses, which are registered in their country, will be able to use this feature in the future.

Ok, forget about facebook login, thank you for the links. Maybe you should update your doc about this.

    Hi @omc123

Now we have updated our Facebook documentation and in our latest build we also updated the Facebook – Getting Started section of the plugin.

In addition, we have also added a warning that informs people about the Business Verification specific limitations:

    Best regards,
    Laszlo.
