    Is there a way to disable this? It is a real distraction on my product pages, in addition I don’t want a link on my product pages following to the original review.

    Not sure if I like the direction this plugin is going with a focus on more of the store reviews for their website at cusrev.com. I liked all the automated features of collecting reviews with autogenerated coupons, emails, etc.

    But, there seems to be a real push for their Store site to be more like the next TrustPilot.

    Thanks for using our plugin!

    There is no push into being a ‘Trustpilot’. It is actually the opposite. We offer a complete flexibility in collection and display of reviews. You can choose between:

    1. Collecting reviews locally without 3rd party verification (review invitations will be sent by the default mailer from your website, aggregated review forms will be hosted locally on your server).
    2. Collecting reviews via CusRev to enable 3rd party verification. There are two more options here (added in the last update): you can collect review via CusRev in either Private or Live modes. Reviews received in the Private mode will not be published on CusRev. It is great for setting up and testing integration of the plugin with CusRev. If you enable the Live mode, the plugin will start publishing verified copies of reviews to CusRev.

    The reason why you started seeing the verified reviews badge on your old reviews after the last update is that:

    1. They were collected via CusRev. If you chose collect them locally (see the point 1 above), there would be no verified badges.
    2. Since there was no setting for Private / Live modes before the last update, the plugin did not retrospectively update old reviews as private. We cannot know which stores would like to keep verified badges and which would like to remove them. Therefore, we didn’t implement any updates of the old reviews.

    However, we see that you need a way to remove verification meta data from the old reviews. Therefore, we will add a possibility to do that. Please wait for the next update of the plugin – it will include a button to manually remove the verified badges from old reviews.

    I was referring to the backlink that was created of each review on the product pages that states, “see original review” that goes to cusrev.com review site.

    I want my customers to stay on my website and not be distracted by venturing off to another site to read reviews. This could affect customers by not completing purchases.

    I’ll rollback and wait for the update.

    I agree, having an extra link there is not what i expected. In the meantime, you can use CSS to hide it.

    .ivole-verified-badge {
    display: none;
    }

    As promised above, a new version of the plugin is available for download. It includes an option to hide the verified links and remove verification status of reviews individually or in bulk.

    Please install the update and let us know in case of any issues ??
