verification note not appearing

  • Dears,’Thank you very much for this promising plugin
    It seems to work very well except for first step which is in my case after I click on register button. nothing show up to notify the user to check email for email verification.
    The configuration is setup correctly in the dashboard. but I don’t know why it’s not working on my case.
    Please you can go ahead and give it a try

  • The Delete Unverified Users looks like a good solution.

    I apologize if I missed this detail, but how frequently does this function delete unverified users?

    I`m going to add a note in the verification email to say “Unverified users will be automatically deleted every X time period”

    Yes, you are correct – this cron job is run on a weekly basis.

    If I may ask, if the cron job runs for example on
    Sun. 11pm and all unverified users are deleted at that time,
    what happens with users who sign up Sun. 10:30pm?

    Will they get deleted along with the users who registered
    Sun 11:01pm ~ Sun 10:59pm?

    Or does the cronjob delete an unverified user 1 week after each user registered?

    Generally, cron job will run on the same time each week. So if it runs e.g. on Sun 11:00 PM, and user registers on Sun 11:01 PM, he will be deleted only after a full week. And if user registers on Sun 10:59 PM, then he will be deleted basically immediately. Please note that if you’ve enabled “Expire activation link” option in “General” plugin settings section, then “Delete users automatically” tool will only delete users with expired codes.
