Click on verification Link generates new submissions

Hi there, i use the verification plugin to double opt for a ordering process. Everything works, the confirmation email is generated and sent, ok.
When the customer clicks on that verification Link, the main site opens, but there is no message or anything else to give some feedback to the customer. I would be glad, if i could choose a site and a text to display.
But my main problem with the plug-in is, that it doesn’t recognize if an email has already been validated, so that every click on that verification-link generates a new duplicate of the first order.
Is there anything i could do to avoid this?
