I’m trying to verify an email address to enable email notifications but the plugin is not sending the email. The verification email isn’t sent to my email nor spam folder. I also have WP Mail SMTP configured in my site and it is working fine. I’m using the latest version of Really Simple SSL.

    What could be the issue?

    Hi @netteli,

the e-mail not sending is likely caused by an issue with your mailserver. If your mail plugin keeps a log of e-mails, you can open the e-mail there and click on the verification link. That should also verify your account. You can also check the e-mail address your account uses. Perhaps the e-mail is sent to a different e-mail address.

Thanks for your suggestion. I’ve used multiple email addresses and checked my email logs in WordPress; but unable to find any outgoing/incoming mails from the SSL plugin.

I’ve also checked the mail logs and error logs in my mail server – did not receive any error logs regarding mail bounces, rejects, etc.

Does it have to do with the default configuration for the SSL plugin? I am using WP Mail SMTP with Other SMTP (Amazon SES), not the default PHP mailer.

Please ignore my previous reply – I’ve managed to access the email verification URL by using WP Mail Logging plugin. Thanks for your help!
