[venue_embed] shortcode not pulling up anything?

Huge fan of this plugin so far. Been using it on a client site to good effect. But I’ve been having problems getting the [venue_embed] shortcode to work. I’ve tried pulling up my venues by all of the accepted parameters, venue name, city, zip, etc, and nothing seems to be working. Any ideas as to what’s going on here?

For example, on this page, the first box on the top left of the page is supposed to be pulling all venues from zip “11432”. It only randomly displays 3, even though there are a number of other venues within this zip. For some city/zip combos where I know there should be multiple entries, nothing is showing up at all.

Somewhat related – is there a way to filter [event_embed] shortcode event listings by geographic area, similar to the way the [venue_embed] should work?
