  • I just started having this problem, too — I think it began after the last update. Also, calendar dates won’t pop up anymore; you have to fill the dates in manually. AND I can’t access my organizers.

Good to know I’m not the only one. Just tested the dates and organizers and I’m experiencing the same thing.

Seems like WP v4.8.1 is the culprit.

I have TEC v4.5.10 installed on both a WP v4.8 server and a v4.8.1 server. All is well on the v4.8.

@steveguilford, I am still on WP v4.7.5 and I am having similar issues with TEC v4.5.10. Really hope to get an update on these issues soon.

Thanks for reporting this, @cadmiumcd – we have a fix in the works.

I am having the same issue and 4.5.10.1 did not fix it for me. In the browser console I see the following

    Hey @mevilsizor,

Sorry to hear about this still being an issue after the hotfix ??

Can you give us more details on your site setup? Using SSL? If so can you please let me know about your sites URLs configuration (Settings > General > WordPress Address (URL) & Site Address (URL)).

One more thing, Can you please follow the steps described in our Testing for conflicts guide? This way we can see if this is a problem in our plugin or a conflict with the theme or other installed plugins.

    Thanks you very much,
    Nico

    Hello Nico, thanks for responding!

    – We are not running https for any portion of our site
    – We are using WP Multisite
    – The problem for us started when I upgraded The Events Calendar from 4.5.5 to 4.5.8
    – On my production server I downgraded to 4.5.6 and it works fine but I am concerned that I can’t upgrade
    – On our test server I have the latest version in hopes of figuring it out

I worked through the conflict resolution test you linked to
    – Used 2017 theme
    – Disabled all plugins except the essentials:
o WordPress MU Domain Mapping – network activated
o The Events Calendar – activated in this site

    My experience is the same
    – Events Settings page – bumpdown is not a function error in console
    – An Event page – $item.timepicker is not a function error in console

    More information
    – Another site in my Multisite does work properly and does not get these errors
o Site www does not work
    o Site sandbox does work
    – A difference that I note if I view source on the Event Settings page
o www: is missing the line that starts
    <link rel=’stylesheet’ id=’tribe-jquery-timepicker-cs-css’
o As if some logic is telling it not to include the timepicker element in the site where it is not working?
    – I believe my directory structure is a little different but believe it is supported and all worked well until this update
    o web root /var/www/html
    o wp root /var/www/html/wp

    Thanks for your help,
    Mark

Thanks so much for the details Mark, and sorry once again for the issue you are experiencing ??

We are still seeing some issues with different setups that are not “normal”. Let me try to reproduce the issue setting up a similar environment for this I need to know which webserver is running the site (Apache? nginx?) and the version number of PHP in said server.

Also, are you running any other of our products or just The Events Calendar?

    Thanks once again,
    Nico
