After I updated to version 6.0.1. my event listing has changed. A lot of details that were there before are gone now. I used template 1 but I found out that this template no longer exists in the new update. I changed to template 2 and now my event listing sort of looks fine.

But on the event details page a lot is missing too from what was there before. The venue details such as address and google maps link are missing and also the Organisator details are missing such as phone number and email address. They were there before but not any longer.

In the venue and organisator tabs I put in all those details but they don’t show on the front end. How can I get those details back please? They are very important.

Another question: is there an option still to replace the Find out more text? In the old version I could change it in a php file and put that file in my child theme but after the update that no longer works.
So a lot of unwelcoming changes after the update. Could you help me with resolving these issues?

  • Hey @carro1113

    Thank you for reaching out.
Yikes! That was definitely not a smooth transition.

    Here’s what I would recommend:

    1. If you have already migrated the data, please undo that change
    2. Downgrade to a version prior to 6.0
    3. Go through the following article carefully and prepare for the migration in a staging environment

TL;DR. it sounds like you were still using our old designs. As those no longer exists, you will need to adapt your customizations and templates so that they work nicely with your calendar. Once that’s done, you can upgrade back.

    Best,
    Geoff

    Hi Geoff,

Thanks for your reply. I already did test on a (local) staging site. I updated and migrated everything to the new version. And also there I don’t see the venue address and the organizer details.

And the other thing is that I don’t like the new layout for the event details. Sorry.

So I want to keep the old layout. On my clients site I updated the plugin but did not migrate because I would loose the old tweaked layout. I did a lot of css to get it as I want.

I could send you screenshots of what I am having now and the situation on my staging site if you want. If yes, how can I send them to you?

    Kind regards,
    Carla

TEC brand new user here. I can’t migrate down or roll back to 6.0 because I made a bunch of new Venues and Events today. Venue details and maps are completely missing from Events! I’m testing the free version of TEC with Divi (which I’m up to date on).

I thought that AT LEAST an address and/or Map would show up from my Venue creation into these new Events. Am I wrong????

BTW where/how do you enter Google Maps decimal GPS coordinates or Google Maps link to place a pin??? I only see address fields (street, town, state, country) in the Venues area. Do you always have to spec United States?

    Hi Abz,

Thank you for your reply. If I understand correctly it is a bug that only exists when using the Divi theme which I do. Hopefully your support team can fix this together with Elegant Themes.
If it is fixed can you let us know in this thread?

    Thanks!
