    Hi there,

    We have been using GiveWP for over a year, and we have decided to integrate Venmo and PayPal as payment options within the donation forms. I have enabled everything according to the instructions, and it works well on desktop. However, when I try to donate through mobile, I can see the buttons, but when I press them (either one) – nothing happens. Something seems to be loading, but it abruptly ends and returns to the same donation page.

    I tried it on two different phones in Chrome – I can see both buttons, then I checked it on Firefox on the same phone – I can only see PayPal buttons. I tried it with mobile network instead of my WiFi – the same thing happened. Cleared cache – same thing.

    Glad you reached out. Venmo button display issues can be a little sticky because PayPal is the decision-maker when it comes to displaying those buttons.

    One thing that does seem to be a factor is whether or not your organization has a Venmo Charity Profile established. Depending on the type of PayPal account you have, some organizations are required to set up a Venmo Charity Profile in order to accept donations. PayPal/Venmo customer support can clarify this, but the general rule GiveWP’s support team has encountered is that organizations designated as charities on the PayPal side must have a corresponding charity profile at Venmo. This process can take up the 3 business days to before your organization can use Venmo with GiveWP.

    I would highly recommend reaching out to those support folks to check in about why the Venmo button is displaying conditionally.
