    Hello,

Can you please explain to me how to pay the sellers.

I understood that there is no automatic payment and that they have to request it from their dashboard.

But I don’t understand what I, admin, have to do next to get the money to their bank account.

Can you clearly explain the end-to-end process to me please ? I use stripe via woocommerce.

    Thanks a lot.

    Hi,

This depends on your website terms, for example the payout methods you allow. Payout requests are processed manually, you can simply make a payment and mark a pending payout as “published”. There’s also a “Processing Payouts” screencast in the docs https://hivepress.io/docs/extensions/marketplace/ Also, you can set some minimum payout amount in HivePress settings (most marketplaces set some threshold for payouts). Hope this helps.

sorry but I still don’t understand. on my marketplace I have a 20% commission for the admin. and I authorize seller payments with no minimum. the seller requests payment by bank transfer (and provides his iban) or requests payment via paypal and indicates his email address.
When the admin validates the seller’s payment request, the money is automatically sent to the seller by woocommerce directly? or should the admin (the marketplace) go to his own bank account or his own paypal account to manually make the payment to the seller’s bank account or paypal account? it is this last step there that I do not see in your documentation and that I do not understand. the question is: how does the money end up in the seller’s bank account or paypal account?

ps: I use woocommerce with stripe

There are no automatic seller payouts for security reasons, so all payout requests should be processed manually. Once you send a payment manually, please mark a payout as “published”, this screencast shows the process https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0egFCEIYNcg&ab_channel=HivePress So the payout form just submits a request that should be processed manually. You can set some minimum payout amount in settings (to avoid small transactions, sellers will have to wait until their balance reaches some threshold), or even process requests by your own schedule, this depends on your marketplace terms (most marketplaces I’ve worked with process pending payout requests once a month).

Okay. Thank you. So the admin must make the transfer himself from his own paypal or stripe account. To make things easier for everyone (admin and seller), I can prevent payment requests, create an attribute in the seller profile to retrieve iban and paypal emails. And then the admin makes the payments himself once a month.

Sure, you can add a custom field for this to the vendor’s profile form so vendors will not have to enter the payout details every time, and check their balance once a month to make a full payout. I recommend creating a payout request via back-end for each payout anyway, because it deducts the payout amount from the seller’s balance.
