Hi, I’m using multivendor platform with WCFM. When defender is active vendors can’t upload images for products. How can I allow JPG,png.. to be uploaded. Thank you

    Hi @bobkata,

I hope you are doing well today!

Are they getting any error messages or warnings while trying to upload images?

    Kind regards,
    Zafer

    Hi @bobkata

    Thanks for response!

Defender itself is not blocking uploads (neither in general nor of specific file types) on purpose and by default. If such thing is happening it would be a “side-effect” of some specific setting of any of the two plugins or some sort of a conflict.

That being said, I have installed (default configuration) WCFM on my site to test it but it’s quite complex and I’m really not familiar with it. It tried to replicate the issue but so far I wasn’t able.

Could you please give us a step by step instruction on what to do exactly (like: click here, go there, select this and that option, do this and that…) to replicate the problem?

As a starting point, I understand that
    – WCFM and Defender must be both active
    – and that I should have additional account as “Vendor” and be logged-in as “Vendor”
    – but what next?

Please advise. We’ll then go through this to replicate the issue and find out what’s causing it.

    Best regards,
    Adam

Go to products and click add new. Then click on main image and try to upload something. It says error uploading file. Please try later.I just try this with only woocommerce, WCFM , elementor Pro, forminator and difender and it is the same. WCFM use default wordpress uploader but from frontend. How can I reset all deffender settings to start one by one and see where the problem appear. The main reason to switch from wordfence to difender is that wordfence blocking admin ajax calls from WCFM and I have to leave wordfence WAf in learning mode all the time. And now I’m in searching for a new antivirus plugin. I love your forminator plugin that’s why I start to test your defender. I will go pro because you have many others good plugins and it is better to use most plugins from one label.I think it’s important to know that I’m on litespeed server and using quick cloud. Maybe deffender blocking something with this?

Update: delete and reupload my dev site. Install defender and without touch any of the settings now everything is working. I suspect suggested firewall settings to do something with this. When I found what exactly is the problem will write here.
