Defender itself is not blocking uploads (neither in general nor of specific file types) on purpose and by default. If such thing is happening it would be a “side-effect” of some specific setting of any of the two plugins or some sort of a conflict.
That being said, I have installed (default configuration) WCFM on my site to test it but it’s quite complex and I’m really not familiar with it. It tried to replicate the issue but so far I wasn’t able.
Could you please give us a step by step instruction on what to do exactly (like: click here, go there, select this and that option, do this and that…) to replicate the problem?
As a starting point, I understand that
– WCFM and Defender must be both active
– and that I should have additional account as “Vendor” and be logged-in as “Vendor”
– but what next?
Please advise. We’ll then go through this to replicate the issue and find out what’s causing it.
