VC-element does not render shortcodes

    Just wanted to point out, that if you want to use shortcodes within a Visual Composer element like the “RAW HTML”-element, you have to add “add_filter(‘the_content’, ‘do_shortcode’);” to your functions.php so that the shortcode will be rendered – just had this issue and had to google a bit for the solution – maybe add it as a hint to the “usage”-page of the plugin?

    Many thanks for contacting and suggesting the solution.

    In actual fact, this looks to be a feature of Visual Composer where shortcodes are not run in the RAW HTML (and also the RAW JS) elements.

    The solution you suggest works. Another way to do it might be to use Visual Composer’s shortcode mapper to create new elements that you can add within VC columns.
