VAT validation does not work.

    Hi,
    I had error whit VAT validation.
    In log is this error:
    09-23-2016 @ 08:43:10 – wc-aelia-eu-vat-assistant – [PID 26269] [WC_Aelia_EU_VAT_Assistant] EU VAT validation response (JSON): “false”.

    In order:
    VAT number validated: could-not-be-validated

    The VAT number is ok. Where can by a problem ?
    I tested more good VAT number and still the same problem.

    A message of “could-not-be-validated” means that the VIES VAT validation service cannot be reached, or that it returned an invalid response.

    The first issue could depend on your server settings (it might be blocking the connection to the remote VIES service), while the latter could happen if the VIES service is experiencing technical difficulties.
    I ran some tests on our systems, and they all validated the VAT numbers correctly. I would suggest to focus on checking your server settings (your hosting provider should be able to help with that).
