VAT rate changed after last update

As a first step, can you please provide the following?

* Share a copy of your site’s System Status: You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.?

* Screenshot of your settings under WooCommerce > Settings > Tax.

* Screenshot of your Standard rate and reduced rate sections.

Beware, the status has changed.
After this issue, I deleted all the VAT rates (except standard) and I create a new one “Réduit” (Reduced).

Hi @ego77,

It seems there is nothing strange in your system status. You have a number of plugins that you may want to be sure to be up to date to avoid incompatibility with WooCommerce.

When you check the products can you see the “Reduced” tax class in Product data > General?

I’m sure that plugins are up to date.
Everything is fine except when we did the WooCommerce update.
Yes, when I check the products, I can see the “Reduced” tax class in Product data > General because we changed it manually.
That’s the issue, the “Reduced” tax class was changed into “Standard” tax class.

I’m afraid we have to wait the next WooCommerce update and check on a staging site to see what happens.

I’ve never seen WooCommerce change on its own the tax class on products. There are simply no instructions on the plugin code to do this. Most likely it’s coming from a conflict with your theme or with another plugin on your site.

It could be difficult to reproduce, but I’d suggest that you set up a duplicate of your site, a staging site, where you can perform tests downgrading and upgrading different WooCommerce versions and disabling/enabling plugins and themes without affecting the production site.

Some hosts offer Staging sites, but if you don’t have such a feature, you can create one with the WP Staging plugin.

Lastly, check if there are any related fatal errors in the WooCommerce logs that might give you some additional clues as to what is causing this behavior. Logs can be found under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.
