VAT number is hidden after entering the value

  • Hello,

    I have issue with plugin. After I am enter value to VAT number, column with number go hide a dont deduct price in cart. I am using plugin “WooCommerce Checkout Field Editor”. After I disable it, then EU VAT plugin work fine. I am tryed other field editors but only this one works for me good. Its very important for me to use both of these plugins together. Where can be problem?

    The EU VAT Assistant uses a standard WooCommerce filter to add the VAT number field to the checkout page, following the guidelines from the official documentation (https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/tutorial-customising-checkout-fields-using-actions-and-filters/).

    We haven’t tested the Checkout Field Editor, but, if it follows the same guidelines, then it should not interfere with the EU VAT Assistant. If it does, perhaps the issue could be caused by some plugin settings that cause a conflict. We can’t debug the site for you, as that’s outside the scope of our support service, but we would suggest to check the following:
    1. Verify if the Checkout Field Editor also happens to use a “vat_number” field. Two fields with the same ID could cause conflicts.
    2. Verify if the Checkout Field Editor was configured with some “show/hide” rules that could affect the VAT number field. Perhaps those rules hide the EU VAT Assistant field by mistake.

    The authors of the Checkout Field Editor should be able to help you checking the above, find out what element, in that plugin, hides the VAT number field, and give you some instructions to prevent that behaviour.
