    Hey Sean,

I’m found this plugin by coincidence and it solves exactly my problem! Just configured this on our staging environment in test mode and it immediately works. However, there appears to be an issue with VAT handling: when I am trying to place an order, say with a TOTAL: 23.20 EUR (including 3.87 EUR VAT for Austria), and hit “Pay for Order”, then Stripe asks me to pay for 19.33 EUR, which is the order total without VAT. Am I doing something wrong?

    Best,
    Maria

    H Maria,

I checked the Stripe documentation and I see for the Checkout Session Create API call Stripe supports automatic taxes at the order level, line item specifics (tax codes and behaviors), and individual Tax Rate connections to each line item.

I don’t see a simple way to send the Woo calculated taxes directly. It’s likely possible by developing a dynamic Tax Rate object first, but this would take some considerable development to figure this out since it’s a deep topic and the two systems work a bit differently. There’s a lot of test scenarios to be able to support this.

I don’t currently have a paid gig to develop this plugin. I just maintain it for personal use and share it with the community.

So as it stands it looks like my plugin won’t be a fit for your project. Thanks for testing though! It’s great to have these options even when they don’t work out for a specific site. I wish you well on your search for a fitting integration.
