Hi, we set in woocommerce setting that for Italy order VAT has to be 22%, and it is managed correclty from WC, BUT for US has to be 0…. and in this case, even we put a separated VAT class, with 0 for US country code, woocommerce doesn’t calculate/display any VAT value…. and this would be correct but, in out case, that we sell perfumes worldwide, we need in same cases to have the VAT calculated even if 0, so, that value, can be present in the WC order mail, invoices, order details and imported in our ERP….

Do you think is that possible?
    Thank you very much

  • Hey @angelolazzari

Yes, this should be possible. Based on the details you provided, I assume that WooCommerce is currently configured to display itemized tax totals — which would explain why you are not seeing a 0 tax total.

Could you please try this and let me know if it works for you —

    – Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Tax.
    – Change the “Display tax totals” value to “As a single total”.

Now, you should see a zero tax total in all customer-facing templates.

Looking forward to hear from you!

    Cheers,

    you are welcome @rguilbert ! ??

    Hi there,

I understand your concern. In your case, WooCommerce is correctly handling the VAT for Italy by applying the 22% rate, but for the US, where the VAT should be 0%, it’s not displaying any VAT value. However, since you sell perfumes worldwide, there are instances where you need the VAT to be calculated at 0% and reflected in the order mail, invoices, order details, and imported into your ERP system.

To achieve this, you can explore customizing your WooCommerce settings or using a plugin that allows you to display the 0% VAT value in the order details and other documents. There might be plugins available that offer more flexibility in handling different VAT scenarios based on the destination country.

Before implementing any changes, I recommend reaching out to the WooCommerce support community or consulting with a developer who is familiar with WooCommerce. They can guide you through the best approach and offer solutions tailored to your specific needs.

Best of luck, and I hope you find a suitable solution to meet your requirements!
