VAT added on prices inclusive of tax

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that after you updated to WooCommerce 7.6.0, the prices of your products that are already VAT-inclusive were added additional VAT, is that correct?

This is quite strange as I did not experience this on my personal site running on version 7.6.1.

Can you please try to update WooCommerce to version 7.6.1 and see if this resolves the issue?

Otherwise, please provide us a screenshot of the following items below:

• General Settings (WooCommerce > Settings > General)
• Tax Settings (WooCommerce > Settings > Tax)
• Tax Classes (if any)
• Product’s General Settings (Product > Edit > General)
• Product that has doubled VAT

Yes that’s correct. After I updated to 7.6.0. this problem become active. Beside that, I’ve updated to 7.6.1 and nothing changes. Problem remains.

Can you also please share with us a screenshot of a product in:

• back-end containing the product price and tax class similar to this screenshot
• front-end or how it displays on your site.

This is for us to check the price difference that you are referring to here.

Checking your site’s SSR, I am not seeing anything suspicious.

For us to investigate this further, can you please try to switch to the default Storefront theme and only WooCommerce plugin is enabled and see if the product price is now correct?

If so, then this kind of problem is usually caused by your theme or a third-party plugin present on your site. We can run a conflict test to verify this. I’d recommend cloning your site to a staging environment and performing the tests described on this guide without modifying your live site or impacting customers. Many hosts provide staging facilities, so it’s worth checking in with them. It’s also possible to do it using the free WP Staging plugin.

If this was caused by a third-party plugin present on your site, it would be best to reach out to the developers for further assistance here.

If this did not resolve the issue, please provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.
