    WP 5.9.3
    Woo 6.5.1

    Our variations have disappeared in the last week or so.

    Here is what it looked like 2 weeks ago when live data was used for a demonstration website:

    When we look at the back end of the LIVE website we can see the variations but they do not have the correct value

    We’ve cleared the transients (we saw that suggested on another post) and that did not make any difference.

    Any idea what could have caused this and how we fix it?

    Our variations have disappeared in the last week or so

    Do you remember making any changes before the issue started such as updating or installing plugin(s)? This kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin. The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

    If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

    If you’d prefer not to make any changes on your live site then you can create a duplicate/staging site. Many hosting providers offer site staging facilities, but if you don’t have such a feature, you can create one with the WP Staging plugin.

    Hi,

    We don’t tend to update to the latest version of WP immediately.

    We’ve been through all the history longs (ManageWP) and activity logs and we can’t see anything that would affect Woocommerce variations. We did enable reviews on all products but that’s it.

    The theme has been updated but it’s not the display that has caused the issue since we can see that the variations themselves have been affected.

    If we don’t know what action is causing the problem how can we repeat it?

    Sounds like the data is imported from one site to another. If it is the case, you can export the product and re-import it to the new site to make sure it will work.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the suggestions. We found out that it was plugin for Bulk Edit Review that caused the issue. It allowed for all products to have a review and did something weird to the variations.

    We are manually sorting it out since when I have tried product importer / exporter before we did not get the results we expected. Doing this manually is a better option for us and it’s not a lot of products.
