Variations not importing correctly

  • Hi there,

    I’ve bought the importing variable products add-on, but I seem to be having a few problems.

    1. When I upload the CSV file it isn’t bringing through the image for the variation master product, which I have already uploaded to the WordPress Media Library.
    2. It doesn’t seem to be creating the product variations. There is only the master product created but no variations to this (with different sku/price/size etc).
    3. I need to include the product in two or more separate categories, but when I list them, it only selects one of them!

    Also, as I have many different products on my website, I have one attribute named ‘size’ with many many different options underneath it. When I type ‘size’ onto the CSV, is there any way I can limit which sizes it selects, as when I’ve tried it just now, it selects all the different size options in the attribute, which in turn means that all those different sizes are shown under the addition information tab when viewing the product online. The problem with this is that some of our products are only sold in certain sizes, so listing all of them is misleading to the customer.

    Thanks for the update version of the plugin. The categories bit works great now and it also imports the images properly as well. Good work!

    Just one thing…Did you manage to have a look at why it’s not creating the variations, or selecting only certain content out of the attributes? Its just that this functionality is really what I’m looking to get out of this plugin.

    Hi did this get resolved as I have exactly the same problem. Master Product is imported and so are the right number of variation with the correct SKU. But it doesn’t select the variation term names – I have have “Any Options” listed for all the variations. Help please..
