    Hi,

So, i’m trying to add two different variations with two different images.
But, the problem is, I have to select at least two variations before the images show up.

Is there a solution for this? Maybe a plugin or something.

    Thanks in advance

  • 1. Create All the Attributes first. So for instance Charm 1, then under Charm 1 put all your variations. Instead of how you’re doing it now use a variation plugin called Variation Swatches For WooCommerce

    2. Then create your second Attribute for Charm 2 and put all of its Variations under it. Use the plugin I stated above and you will have a rocking site!

    Anything else let me know.

unfortunately, that doesn’t help either.. I still have to select the first one before the other one shows up.

Then you didn’t do something right. All Attributes should be showing and their variations inside them. Is there an outside script for the reveal after first is selected? Like from the theme or plugin?

They all show up. But the images don’t show up correctly.

You can check that if you visit this page

You need to literally use images on the backend for the variation. You still have the select drop down. Look at my site for instance. All my variations are images. Does this make sense? Now do the same for all your attributes, add images to each attribute and then inside each product you need to add the individual (large photo to the left) photo to the variation. One photo for the featured on the shop side too, then variation images and they will look solid.

I tried what you said but they still don’t show up as they should’ve.

If you can check the link again, maybe i’m doing something wrong?

But, they automatically group my variations, I can’t seem to ungroup them. Maybe that is the issue?

The live URL you sent is looking good. You’re super close. Play with the CSS or redo images to work. However I would increase the size a bit.

Second, you are not adding the Attributes/Variables on the product side correctly. Add attributes first. Add both Attributes and then make sure to ONLY add the children of each Attribute not all of them from other Attributes. If you’re mixing Charm One and Charm Two children on the product side you are doing it wrong.

    Should be:
    Charm One
    – Heart
    – Castle
    – Ring

    Charm Two
    – Razor
    – Sword
    – Bus

Hope that makes sense. If you speak German and that helps let me know I speak German as well.

Well, I must be doing something wrong, I died what you said (I guess) but its still not showing up correctly.

Odd Question, can we maybe email or chat? That way we can maybe resolve this faster!

Thanks for the help thus far btw!

LOL here does this make more sense? It goes in order

I forgot to show after the Attributes are all added. Sorry

I feel so stupid right now. I did this years ago. I need to find my work. I thought it was already part of WC and I see it is not. I thought you could have attribute one then it’s variables underneath and attribute two and its variables.

I’m so tired right now. I need sleep! I’m looking for how I did it on a site years ago.

That’s okay, haha. I did the exact same, but it still doesn’t work. Even worse, the images won’t show up at all.

If you email me, I can perhaps give me you the login credentials.
It’s for a client, so I’m on a bit of pressure, lol.

    My email is [email protected]

Thanks again for the help. Really appreciate it!

LOL I just realized the variations plugin is deprecated. I’m seeing if I can update it now. It won’t work with the latest version of WP.

The other plugin the guy stole it from ThemeAlien and he’s charging for it. ThemeAlien abandoned this plugin which sucks because it’s simple and perfect.

I’ve done this before. I actually wrote a script to have the user choose the first charm and they didn’t even see the second until they chose the first and so on. So it was cleaner.

    Oh well that sucks, lol.

I hope you can find a solution!
It’s horrible that it’s not a stock solution, it’s a horrible mess this way.
