    Hi,

I’m looking for a plugin that allows me to add variable products and this is the problematic part: It needs to allow me to add “attributes” with an (individual) pricing option for each of the terms. So if a customer clicks on the variation, it could give options of “none” and then several terms. Each with individual pricing that adds to the price of the original product.

For example if the original product were £1000, it should be possible to purchase this at £1000 (the price remaining listed) on the product page throughout. But as I add a term from each variation it will show individual price value and also add this to the total purchase price of the product.

We are working with suppliers that have this option available on their sites, but i dont know if this is possible via plugin or other with WooCommerce or even WordPress as as whole. If not I wish I had the ability to develop such a plugin as it seems common sense to me, that one should exist.

Looking forward to some help and hopefully a solution to this

    Many thanks Dustin

    Hi Dustin@dustintoland,

    Thank you for reaching out.

It sounds like you’re looking for a way to add variable products with individual pricing for each attribute. This is indeed possible with WooCommerce with the help of an extension.

The WooCommerce Product Add-Ons plugin allows you to add extra options to your products which your customers can choose from. When creating the product, you can add attributes, variations, and then set an individual price for each variation.

Once you’ve set up the variations and prices, customers will be able to select their desired variation. The price will automatically update based on the selected variation, adding to the original product price as you described.

You can check out the plugin here.

    I hope this helps.

hi and thank you for the quick reply.

before I check I just need to reaffirm that is not just the variations that need individual pricing. It is the terms of each individual variation that need individual pricing.
my apologies if this is what you have stated and I will now check the plugin. But if you believe that this is not solved, then I would appreciate the additional assistance

    Hey, @dustintoland!

From what you told us, I do believe that the plugin my colleague recommended will be a good fit.

With it you can have add-ons (instead of variations), which the customer can choose to add or not and each add-on has its own price.

I hope this was clarifying. Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help or if you have any questions.

    Have a wonderful day!

Hi, thank you for the advice, both of you. I have purchased the product add ons extension and although it may come in useful, I don’t think it solves the problem in the way we are looking to. I may be wrong and welcome the discussion that may help us solve this.

I have included a link to one of our suppliers web pages and it will show you how the variations and terms work to provide different prices for each attribute. We really want to use this type of format as we have thousands of products and I would suggest at least half of these will need multiple add on options with different pricing.

    Hi @dustintoland

I checked but couldn’t find any option to choose a variation. For better assistance, can you provide screenshots showing the option on your end? For screenshots, I recommend https://snipboard.io/ for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL(s) in your reply.

Meanwhile, since you’ve purchased our Product Addons plugin, you’ve access to your Premium support. To get direct support, please open a ticket about this from WooCommerce.com > My profile > Support. Make sure to include a link to this thread, so we know what has been done already.

We will be happy to help you further there.

    Hi Shameem,

Thank you for this. I have added the clip to snipboard, but on seeing your clip above. It is clear you understand what we are trying to achieve. So based on this, is it possible to have a set up like the clip, but where the values are added to the product price. For example the Twin rain water filter is an attirbute and the upgrade is a term. In which case each term has a different pricing value as we have multiple options for each attribute and at different prices

    Thank you

    Dustin

Fantastic! Thanks for letting us know our understanding is correct, @dustintoland .

This exact setup is possible with the Product Add-Ons for WooCommerce plugin, as showcased from the screenshots included in its documentation already (I believe ?? ).

If otherwise, one of the two listed below would be a great fit:

As noted from my colleague, above, since you purchased it already, to get direct support, please open a ticket about this from WooCommerce.com > My profile > Support. Make sure to include a link to this thread, so we know what has been done already.

We will be happy to help you further there.

I trust this provides clarity. Cheers!

I’d like to thank all of you for your assistance and as is often the case i need to make many mistakes and find a strange route back to the advice you have all given. In the meantime i purchased another plugin and although it will be useful in the future, it was still focussed on the variation aspect of products.

Just this morning, in a state of despair, i returned to the product add ons plugin, with a clearer head and as you have all stated, this is the plugin for me. It has ticked all the boxes, as i wanted to keep a simple product, allowing the customer to see the price of the basic product, whilst allowing them purchasable options. I also wanted customers to be able to see the prices and accumulation of cost on the product, before they go to cart. Giving them a chance to deduct or change options on the product screen and hopefully creating less cart abandoning. Your plugin does indeed allow for this and i am very grateful.

I will also look at all of the other suggested plugins for future development as i believe improvements can be a constant, with regard to our website. So i just wanted to say thank you and that it is working very well now my small brain has developed enough to understand it
