    Hi,
My name is Vishal. I need help with Variable products.

So, I have a Variable Product in my store with 105 variations. Product Attributes are Color and Size.
Now I created Color and Any size variations to set Images for all the Variations irrespective of their sizes. And to make the product purchasable I added Regular and sale prices for Any size variations.

Now the problem is – The cost of few big sizes is high and I set the cost high in their respective variation. E.g Black S – Price is ? 499 but Black 2XL – Price is ?599.
I have created products like this and every variation excl. Any size variation has an SKU.
But When I go to the product page it just displays one price for all sizes bcoz Any size variation has a single price. And the SKU is NA bcoz Any size variation doesn’t have an SKU.

I hope you are able to understand this. I am using Color + Any size variation to just set Images for all variations in one time bcoz it saves a lot of time. But when a variation like Black + Size S is selected. It should get the Price & SKU data from Black + S variation and not from Black + Any Size.

I am testing this product on brand new installation so there is no extra plugin or themes that can cause a conflict. Please help me to solve this.

    Hi @vishal.

If I understood correctly you are generating one variation with a given color and “Any” size, then you are generation variations with the same color and specific sizes. Is that correct?

I’m afraid that this scenario is not supported by WooCommerce as it’s ambiguous. Think what should happen if a user selects the variation with that color and a specific size: you will have two variations that match the criteria, the one with the specific size and the one with “Any” size (the specific size is “Any” size after all) so you can’t be sure of which one will be handled.

So your options are either manually changing the images manually for each variation, or use a third-party plugin that does that. One that seems to be appropriate is ELEX WooCommerce Advanced Bulk Edit Products, Prices & Attributes, although it’s a paid one.

I’m sorry for not being able to provide you with a better solution. Please don’t hesitate to contact us again if we can assist you further.
