  • Hi @hypematrix

Including variant details in titles for your Google Listing Ads is a feature of Google Merchant Center, which is where your product data feeds into for Google Listing Ads.

You can manually add these details to your product titles or use an automated solution to append these variant details to your product titles.

In WooCommerce, you can add the variant details in the product title or in the product description. When you are creating your product feed for Google Merchant Center, you can then include these variant details.

Please note that it’s important to follow Google’s product data specifications when adding variant details to your product titles. Google has specific rules about what you can and cannot include in your product titles, so please make sure to review these rules to avoid any potential issues with your Google Listing Ads.

    I hope it helps!

@aguinaldodarla I don’t want to include the variant details in the main product titles showing on the website, I only want to include them in the Google Listing titles.

Is there a way your plugin can automatically add the variant details to the titles in the feed? the last plugin I used included them in the feed automatically and I was hoping I could do the same with this plugin.

    For example:

Old plugin product title: Mitsubishi Evo Hoodie Black M

Your plugin product title: Mitsubishi Evo Hoodie

It’s missing the colour and size.

That means all the variant products are all going to have the same title.

I also just seen in Google’s guide lines that it says:

    Distinguish between variants.

    • Add the distinguishing details of each variant to the title. For example, Google T-Shirt, Red. Don’t forget to also submit these details through the appropriate attributes such as colour [color]size [size] or age group [age_group]. For product design elements that don’t have a corresponding attribute, such as ‘flavour’, add them to the title.
    • Be specific. The more specific you are with your title, the easier it is for your customers to identify the correct product on your landing page, as well as any of its possible variants. For example, you’re selling curtains and have listed seven different curtains on your landing page, all distinguished through different sizes and colours. Customers need a simple way to quickly identify the product that they were looking at initially. A specific title can help with that.

    Hi there @hypematrix ??

Thank you for elaborating further on this!

I don’t want to include the variant details in the main product titles showing on the website, I only want to include them in the Google Listing titles.

Is there a way your plugin can automatically add the variant details to the titles in the feed?

This sounds like a great feature. Feel free to submit this feature request, via the option available in the page linked here.

I hope this is helpful! Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Hi ??

    Hi there @webdesigner27,

As per forum rules, I suggest that you start a new thread with your case, so that we don’t mix several troubleshooting sessions in one thread.

Even if the symptoms are the same, perhaps the underlying problem is different in your case.

    Cheers!

Hi @ckadenge and sorry for my mistake.
I will open a new thread. (a new topic right?)

    Cheers!
