Variant images not displaying on initial click

Hi

So I have a problem.

I am using single product variant plugin that splits all my variants are single products on the shop page. But when I click the “red product” it still has the dropdown option for the other variants

Now.. when I click the red product(for example) it displays the default images, unless I select a size.

So now I thought okay i’ll select a default size for all the products.. but it still shows the default images the first time I click the red product.

Only does the plugin work and show the relevant images is if I swap to another size from the dropdown, so basically on the first load its not triggering for some reason.
