That’s an interesting question! At this time the plugin will always sync the variations of a variable product. I’m afraid I don’t see a good way to avoid this with the current code either.
That said, I’d love to hear a bit more about why this would be useful for your business. What type of products are you selling that require variations inside WooCommerce and simple products on your Facebook store?
One separate suggestion would be to create new simple products in your WooCommerce store for Facebook syncing and then exclude the variable products that currently exist. You can use the category exclusion rules for this, by applying a unique category to your variable products! The downside here is that the link on Facebook would redirect to your simple products, and not the variable products.
Does this sound like a workaround that you could use, or could you please let me know a bit more context for your request?
