Variable products show out of stock (when there is stock)

    Our variable products drop out of stock at random. The products in question and their variations (at least one of the variations) have stock and the stock quantity shows as it should when editing the product. However in the store the product in question shows out of stock.

    When I add the stock to the product again and save the product it shows as in stock and purchasable in the store.

    The problem only occurs on variable products.

    We’ve tried disabling plugins, cleaned the database and regenerated the product lookup tables but nothing seems to fix this. We have the latest versions of every plugin installed and wp core is also updated to the latest version.

    I’ve also checked from the database that the parent and the child products are all in stock.

    I understand you’re experiencing issues with variable products dropping out of stock at random.

    Given the steps you’ve already taken, it seems like you’ve ruled out plugin conflicts, database issues, and product lookup table discrepancies. However, were you able to troubleshoot the issue while having switched to a default theme like Storefront or Twenty Twenty-Four?

    If not, could you please try that and let us know how it goes.

    For us this problem was caused by Search & Filter Pro plugin.
