Variable products not visible in results when hitting enter

Hello,
When doing a search through Fibo the variable products are shown in the dropdown beneath the search box. But when you don’t wait for the dropdown to appear and hit enter the results do not show on the page.
The search box is on the top of the page. For example when searching for magneetverf the variable product magneetverf is shown. But when you hit enter only simple products (sets) wich contain magneetverf are shown. The variable product magneetverf itself is not shown.
Same with other productsWordpress 5.8.4
